JOHN O. RAPS ON ‘OLD THING BACK’

“Old Thing Back’ is the first single from John’s forthcoming album ‘Lawton: Tha New Chapter” and the song is a retrospective tribute to Hip Hop and R&B. John pays homage to the artists he grew up listening to and raps about his experiences, his love for the culture and reminisces about good times gone by. “See I like these new cats man, and that’s a fact, but at times I really wanna go back, Let’s take ‘em back” Ollie raps. His effective writing skills and raps pay homage to the likes of New Edition, LL Cool J, Whodini, RUN-DMC, Salt N Pepa, Heavy D, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Grand Master Flash, Cold Crush, Furious Five, Treacherous Three, Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, MC Shan, BDP, MC Lyte, Queen Latifah, Force MD’s, Easy E, Jam Master Jay, Phife, ODB, Africa Bambatta, Jazzy Jay, Red Alert as well as iconic hot spots as the Latin Quarter and Union Square. The track is smooth and sports a current sound designed to stay relevant with today’s music but holds on to that old school feel and vibe that will all love and features a wonderful hook sung by Prince Jay. The song was produced by Dope Boyz Music. Look for mainstream radio to pick this up and run with it. ‘Old Thing Back” by John O is that summer jam to kick back, reflect and enjoy!
