The Remix to “Past Life” is off to a Hot Start
Pop Star Selena Gomez has teamed up with Singer Trevor Daniel to record the Pop Tune Remix of Daniel’s “Past Life” and early reports indicate the song is a hit. The single was released on June 26th and has just entered the Top 40 on the Hot 100 Chart without impacting at pop radio yet. In a Q&A posted on her Twitter Page, Selena talked about why she jumped on the chance to record on the Remix. “When I heard the song the first time, I loved the fact that it was kind of like a story about all the things that we tend to hold onto and the patterns that we have,” Gomez says when asked what “Past Life” means to her. “And I’m very, very vocal about my personal experiences making decisions that aren’t necessarily healthy for me” Gomez said.
The guitar heavy up-tempo track is receiving rave reviews and the video for the song depicts Gomez and Daniel on a split screen, trying to make the best of COVID situation, by giving their fans the very best of themselves. As we go to press, the video has almost 4 million views. “Past Life” is available through Alamo and Interscope Records.
