Rhea Sun Signs to Mark Morrison’s Label, Macklife, Releases Debut Single ‘Train’

Rhea Sun designs a modern yet old school atmosphere with her first single ‘Train.’

Premiered by Jazz FM, ‘Train’ is the debut single by young soul diva, Rhea Sun, the first release from the re-launched MackLife label, the brainchild of legendary UK R&B artist, Mark Morrison. Lyrically enticing, singer-songwriter, Rhea Sun, designs a modern yet old school atmosphere with her first single, Train, blowing the cobwebs away from the criminally under-supported soul music scene in Britain. The Portuguese, UK-based artist has a contemporary approach to writing and a voice beyond her years. She easily captivates listeners and creates a vibe with a 90’s R&B and Soul soundtrack.

Signals The Return of the Macklife!

Mark Morrison, of “Return of the Mack” fame, explains his vision for MackLife and his admiration for Rhea. “The time felt right to re-open the doors at MackLife, and a decision like that is so much easier when you come across special talents like Rhea” Morrison said. Rhea is based in Leicester and is a perfect fit. “MackLife never properly got its credit in the past for the work we have done behind the scenes, such as signing Cleopatra. Yet here we are, 20+ years later and blessed to be in a position to create new history for British Soul music” he said.

Taking note and inspiration from artists like Ari Lennox, Mahalia and Sabrina Claudio, her unique voice was shown to the world in 2020 with the first original debut track, “Train”.

Rhea Sun “Train”, the debut single, produced by Shaun Bailey aka Djedi, is now available through MackLife Records.
