Riley & Babyface Failed to Live up to The Hype on Instagram

The Instagram Live battle between Teddy Riley and Babyface last night did not live up to the hype due to technical and audio issues, especially with Riley. Originally scheduled for 9PM, viewers were having a hard time hearing the sound. The Epic battle faced challenging issues almost from the start. At 10PM fans were told to come back at 10:30PM. This battle was highly anticipated and fans, old school and new school, wanted to see it. Some 400,000 viewers were tuned in last night but it just wasn’t happening. Many celebrities, both old and new, chimed in on social media with jokes of their own about the live session. On Riley’s feed, it looked like a concert setting. Babyface, more mellow, was in a studio. Soundcheck was definitely needed before this took place. All fans heard were echoes and playback whenever Riley performed. “Just like a boxing match, something goes wrong; we gotta do it again” Riley later said on Instagram. By 10:30PM it was obvious to everyone that this wasn’t working out. Babyface himself suggested that they postpone the battle. “Tonight was really special, it’s only right that we postpone this thing and do it at a time when there aren’t any technical difficulties and everybody can hear the music the way it needs to be heard,” Babyface said in an video he posted on Instagram. Listen, you can’t be mad. Things don’t always go as planned. These are two iconic figures in the world of Hip Hop & R&B Music. They have given so much over the years and were ready to give their time and effort once again last night for fans all over the world. No word on when the battle will be rescheduled.
